Bart Brooks will be able rent out two houses on Old Atlanta Road for at least another three years.

Brooks Properties International owns 1632 and 1636 Old Atlanta Road, and rents out the two houses and three commercial buildings located on the 4.3 acres. The property is zoned C-1C (highway commercial), but the non-conforming residential use for the two houses on the tract have been allowed with a variance since 2001 and had been renewed in 2006 and 2009, explained Community Development Director Chad Jacobs.

The Board of Appeals voted unanimously, Sept. 13 to continue the non-conforming use variance for another three years.
