The City of Griffin approved expansion of its alcohol sales corridor to include the eastern portion of West McIntosh Road.

This will allow package liquor sales along that portion of West McIntosh Road between North Expressway and Old Atlanta Road. The City Commission voted 5-2 Tuesday, following a public hearing on the second reading of the ordinance change adding that section of West McIntosh Road, as a corridor on which package sales of distilled spirits may be located. Commissioners Ryan McLemore and Shaheer Beyah were opposed, with Commissioners Dick Morrow, Doug Hollberg, Cynthia Ward, Joanne Todd and Cora Flowers in favor.
