The board is scheduled to vote on raising the speed limit on Jordan Hill Road from 30 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour from Teamon Road to the Henry County Line. The board had previously approved raising the limit to 45 miles per hour on the rest of Jordan Hill Road, but left this part at 30 miles per hour to match up with the Sheriff’s Department submitted limit for the road as part of the Sheriff’s Department’s radar permit.
As that is now being updated, the sheriff recommended raising the limit, which he explained in a letter to the county had been set at 30 miles per hour before the road was paved.
