County to save $304,577 with switch to Blue Cross

Spalding County will save $304,577 with its switch in insurance providers to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia.

The Spalding County Board of Commissioners voted 4-0 Wednesday morning at a special called meeting to approve the contract for medical insurance with an annual premium of $3,860,056, saving $304,557 from the previous year’s contract with CIGNA. The change also includes dental coverage for an additional $233,063, which is 8 percent less that the current service with CIGNA.
