When police officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with the victim, a 21-year-old white female, who stated that she was traveling west on Experiment Street in a Chevrolet Lumina when a black Honda Civic struck her vehicle while attempting to pass her and eventually fled the scene.
According to a GPD incident report, the victim stated that the driver of the Honda Civic had been traveling closely to the rear of her vehicle and tried to pass her to her left when she applied her brakes. As the Honda Civic attempted to merge back into the right lane, it struck her vehicle.
