Four local golfers — Jake Harpe, Parker Plageman, Tye Waller and Devin White — will tee it up in the Georgia Junior Championship on Monday at Doublegate Country Club in Albany.

All four played on the golf team at Spalding High this year. Harpe and Plageman, sophomores, and Waller, a freshman, started and helped the Jags capture the region championship by a school-record 48-stroke margin in addition to a third-place finish at the Class AAA state championship.

Harpe shot a 78 to finish low medalist at region on a blustery day at Heron Bay two months ago, while Waller shot a 1-under 71 to place runner-up in state at Augusta Country Club last month.

All four will tee off at different times Monday. Waller at 12 p.m., and Waller at 12:40 p.m., off No. 1, and White at 12:30 and Plageman at 1:50 p.m. off No. 10. On Tuesday Harpe tees off at 7:30 a.m., and Waller tees off at 8:10 a.m., on No. 1, while white tees off 8 a.m., and Plageman tees off at 9:20 a.m. on No. 10.

The 144-play field will be cut to low 70 and ties after 36 holes and then conclude with 18 holes on Wednesday.
