GPD investigates burglary, makes arrest after traffic stop

The Griffin Police Department (GPD) responded to a location on Circus Street Saturday in reference to a burglary.

According to a GPD incident report, the victim — a 33-year-old black male — reported to police that he left his residence at about 4 a.m. that day, and when he returned at about 3 p.m., he noticed that his front door had a sofa pushed up against it.

After the victim entered his residence, he discovered that all of his rooms had been ransacked.

Among the items stolen were a 40-inch, flat-screen television, a 32-inch, flat-screen television, a Sony PlayStation 3, an HP laptop computer, a digital camera and a Blue-ray DVR.
