Spalding High baseball standout Dylan Griffin, center front, signed a National Letter of Intent Wednesday at SHS to attend and play for the University of West Georgia next season. Joining Griffin for a brief ceremony in the front row, from left: Grandfather Don Griffin, father Lance Griffin, mother Lisa Griffin and sister Kacie Griffin. Griffin, who has started three years for the Jags, has been a three-time All-Region selection as a pitcher and infielder. Last year he batted .467 with 26 RBIs, 13 doubles and 5 home runs. He also sported an ERA just under 2.00 with 40 strikeouts and a record of 6-1.
