Next Wednesday, March 30, SCTC will host a Sports Luncheon for area high school coaches, Athletic Directors, Parks and Recreation Directors and Athletic Coordinators, and Community Recreational League Coaches.
All in attendance will be introduced to the SCTC athletic program and the school will solicit input about recruitment and future program offerings.
Basketball tryouts for next season will be held on April 6-7 for the Lady Tigers and the Tigers tryouts will be held April 14-15 at the City Park in Griffin.
All current students with a 2.0 GPA and who have been enrolled for at least two quarters with a minimum of 12 hours are eligible to tryout.

ANNUAL CHAMBER GOLF TOURNEY: The Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business at the Tee Golf Tournament for four-man teams will be held April 18 at Canongate Golf Club at Sun City Peachtree in a shotgun start 12 noon, lunch provided.
Team registration is now open and information can be obtained by contacting the Chamber office at (770) 228-8200, on line at griffinchamber.com or during business hours at the Griffin Welcome Center where the Chamber office is located, 143 North Hill Street, Griffin. Office hours are 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Opportunities for sponsorships are also available.
The “Business at the Tee” is a partnership between the Chamber of Commerce and the March of Dimes.
