The boards — which are now displayed in Griffin Fire-Rescue’s stations 1, 2 and 3 — help firefighters, specifically those in training, learn the knots they need to know for their job.
After a review by the Eagle Board, which included Scouting-related questions for him to answer, Pirone learned in mid-August that he had officially earned the prestigious Eagle Scout badge. On Saturday he will receive the award when the Eagle Court of Honor meets at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5448.
