On Monday, at 5:02 p.m., units from the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Fast Food Mart, 1251 N. Hill St., regarding a person being shot. Upon arrival, the victim, Robert Hall, 24, of McDonough, was located.
According to Spalding County Sheriff Wendell Beam, Hall had been shot in the lower back. He was treated at the scene by Spalding Regional Emergency Medical Services and transported to the Atlanta Medical Center.
Spalding County Fire Department and Griffin Fire-Rescue units also responded and were at the scene for more than 20 minutes.
The investigation is continuing at this time, according to the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office. A suspect has not been named.
