The Kennedy Road Middle School Lady Cougars basketball team finished the season 14-1 and won the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League championship, defeating Carver Road 37-31 in the title game Tuesday at KRMS. The league is composed of 15 basketball teams. KRMS won the West Division with a record of 11-1 before reeling off three playoff games on the way to the title. Members on the team, coached by Janet Boerner, include: eighth-graders Jakohya Alexander, Trayounda Ford, Trakeirra Head, TyLeslie Johnson, Andeija Puckett, Ma'Kayla Turnipseed and Makayla Walker; seventh-graders Nia Flowers, Rashunda Johnson and Keyondra Leverette; sixth grade managers Ryanne Allen and Dana Dozier.
