• Most of the people who write in to My Two Cents probably think that a lawsuit is something you wear in court.
• OK Obama, enough is enough. Please stop doing so much well. First you adopt a heath-care plan invented by Republicans that Fox News reported was less costly than keeping the status quo. Then you take the same stance as Reagan on the rich needing to take their fair share. Then we see the economy improving.
• Our highly paid Washington congressional leaders were finally able to engage their brilliant minds and agree on something. They agreed on an extension of a farm bill that will hold down the price of milk for one year. Whoopee! Such brilliance deserves another self-serving pay raise.
• In regard to the city’s rebranding campaign, I would like to offer the following slogan: “Griffin: If it’s good enough for Honey Boo Boo, it’s good enough for you.”
• To the person that wrote on Dec. 29, 2012, about Target, Best Buy and Starbucks: We’ll never have anything but Family Dollar, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. The reason is whoever owns all these empty buildings in the city is not supplying the residents any job opportunities. To support yourself you have to go out of Griffin.
• I find it hard to believe that the police Tased a dog. Next, you’re going to tell me that the dog had tattoos and was wearing gang colors.
• Ryan’s management: Would you please return the container for the chicken legs to the hot food bar?
• Griffin’s $43,000 clock on the corner of Hill and Solomon is right twice a day.
• Isn’t it funny that one person can be perceived as a hero for saying what she believes, only to have one person vilified for doing the same thing?
• My resolution for the new year is to be less awesome than I was in 2012.
• I don’t understand why it is such a big deal that the Griffin Country Club is closing. There is a lot of good land out there that can now be used for hunting.
• Some of the women around here have that faraway look. The farther away they get, the better they look.
