• It is a shame that the United States shares a border with Canada. Canadians are lazy socialists, just like the Europeans.

• There are too many Debbie Downers who post here. Lighten up and get a sense of humor.

• After reading Tom Purcell’s column “Economic freedom heads north” in the Oct. 3 Griffin Daily News, how could anyone with common sense ever think about voting for Obama?

• Biden seems like he needs to be retired.

• The other day I went to the bank on my lunch hour and the place was filled with octogenarians. Someone should open a bank just for senior citizens, so that they can dawdle around without getting in the way of the rest of us.

• The first Romney-Obama football game is over. Score: Romney 48, Obama 0.

• No, we complaining nimrods have to be here to keep you government Kool-Aid-drinking nimrods in check.

• After watching the debate, I think this country will have a new president.

• I get tired of people making bad comments about Obama. He’s the greatest person of all time.

• This country needs to

go to a one-party system because the Republicans don’t care about people. The Democrats really care and want to help people.

• We have to stop putting our hopes and dreams in the government and these politicians. We need to turn to God. He is the answer.

• I heard Georgia Tech is going to get a new theme song, “Born to Lose.”

• The city and county need to promote tourism more. We have a fine General Griffin statue and if we actually promoted it, tourists would flock to Griffin to see it.

• All of these people who complain about Griffin need to shut up or leave. Griffin is a wonderful place.

• Republicans are liars. The other day I heard someone say that Republicans were the ones who pushed to end slavery. That can’t be true because Republicans don’t care about civil rights.

• Some people in this community need to get a life and stop being busybodies trying to nose into other people’s business.

• I love the fair.

• If we forget God, our nation is doomed.

• I saw in the paper where there is a website that citizens can grade Congressmen. I wish they would do that on the local level because I would give all of our elected officials an “F.”

• I wish the stores would stop selling these scary Halloween costumes because they creep me out and scare my kids.

• We need to stop idolizing athletes, actors and movie stars and start recognizing people who truly make a difference in our society, like policemen, firemen, military, nurses and teachers.

I know that I am late leaving my reply, but to the jerk that complained about older people doing their banking at lunch hour..you are retard!! You need to spend your lunch hour aiding one of these elderly people, and pray that you are blessed to be their age one day! That's one thing I taught my children,, be extra kind to the elderly and disabled. I'm irate over your comment. And to the people that are still bashing Obama, our president, shut up and vote! If you don't like him......tough cookies...don't nobody care!

More Kool-Aid drinking. You should read a book or at least watch the History Channel if you can't read, Lincoln was a Republican, and so were the abolitionist. The Democrat party was pro-slavery. They're still pro-slavery only the master has been replaced by the welfare system.

To the person that complained about their "lunch period" banking episode, and all those "octogenarians" that just "dawdle". Well, I feel for you, because I was once just like you ...always in a hurry, trying to jam everything into as few errands as possible. Time was important, time was money. A funny thing happen to me along the way, I became old myself! In my mind and spirit, I still feel like I'm 18 again, but my body tells me it ain't so! As far as building a special bank for all us old farts, okay, when can you get it done?

To the person that was complaining about octogenarians dawdling and being in the way at the bank. Take a hike creep! I can't use stronger language in the paper but you can get the idea of what I think about you. If us octogenarians took our money out of that bank to make creeps like you happy they wouldn't have enough money left to loan to creeps like you. So kiss off.

I totally agree! Are you kidding me? Who died and made you king or queen of the free world? You, my dear if you are lucky will one day be an octogenarian youself. How dare you speak of the "older generation" that way? What were they people in their 40's and 50's and you are what about 17? That is exactly what you sound like. So if you are so young and able bodied as you implied why not do your banking business before work? They do open early you know.
