Mrs. Nellie Cobb Nichols Forrer, 94, formerly of Griffin, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Powder Spring Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was the daughter of the late Lee Matthew Cobb and Hester Jane Chappell Cobb. She was born and raised in Spalding County and retired from Dundee Mills and was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hubert Nichols, and her second husband, John Forrer as well as by her brother, Fred Cobb, and by her sisters; Christine Cobb, Jessie Grant, Thelma Wilson, Dorothy Moss, Sarah Scott, Mae Hubbard, and Ottie Walraven.

Mrs. Forrer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Vernie Nichols and Dinah Nichols of Douglasville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Buddy L. Jackson of Moncks Corner, SC; grandsons, Dr. John Keith Nichols of Cookeville, TN, Michael L. Jackson of Moncks Corner, SC; granddaughters, Beverly Cabaniss and her husband, John, of Hilton Head, SC, Bridget Jackson of Aiken, SC; great grandson, Lee Williams; great granddaughters, Lauren, Grayson, and Spencer Nichols, and Kayli Jackson. There are also several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Gene Walton will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Willie Robert “Pansy” Henley, 94, of 24 Third St., Concord, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton. Mr. Tommy H. Reeves, 59, of 129 Ella St., Griffin, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Spalding Regional Hospital. The family will receive friends at 334 Dale Drive, Griffin. Funeral arrangements will be announced by McDowell’s Funeral Home Inc., 305 N. Hill St.
