Mrs. Nancy Elaine Hilliard, age 69 of Griffin, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Spalding Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Hilliard was born on Sept. 10, 1943, in Griffin, Ga. She is preceded in death by her parents, James David Goggans Jr., and Bonnie Ruth Hayes Goggans. Mrs. Hilliard was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church

Survivors include, son, Ike Hilliard and fiancée Beth Harris; sisters, Mildred Bunn and Lynwood and Joyce Canup and late husband Bobby; future grandchildren, Sara and Chris Faulkner; future great-grandchildren, Carleigh Bug, Hayden and Madison Faulkner; nieces, Sue and Richard Cook, Lisa and Shad Mitchell and Tammy McBroom; great-nieces, Amber, Brandon and Lane Cook and Amanda and Matt McBroom.

Visitation for Mrs. Nancy Elaine Hilliard will be Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services for Mrs. Hilliard will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Rev. Jesse Dasher will officiate. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Jean Ross

Feb. 25, 1948 – Dec. 28, 2012

Mrs. Mary Jean Ross, age 64 of Griffin passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at DeKalb Medical Center.

Mrs. Ross was born on Feb. 25, 1948, in Griffin, Ga. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Nunnally Lewis and Annie Lois Chasteen Lewis, and a sister, Betty Ann O’Dell.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Rich Dennis; grandchildren, Megan Hullett and her husband, Jonathan, Brianna, Dalton, and Drake Dennis; special cousin, Maxine Bunn, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for Mrs. Mary Jean Ross will be Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 3 until 5 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Ross will be conducted on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Forster and Rev. Glen Vogel will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Charles E. Wilkerson Jr.

May 20, 1930 – Dec. 29, 2012

Mr. Charles E. Wilkerson Jr., age 82, of Griffin, passed away, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012. at the Christian Ministries Hospice.

Mr. Wilkerson was born on May 20, 1930, in Hollonville, Ga. He was the son of the late Charles E. Wilkerson Sr., and Willie Smith Wilkerson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Mr. Wilkerson was a member of the former Edward Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lou Wilkerson, and a son, Charles Michael Wilkerson.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Shelia Wilkerson and Eddie and Vickie Wilkerson; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and John Hester; step-children, David and Reba Baugh and Larry Baugh; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Wilkerson; nieces nephews and other family also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Charles E. Wilkerson Jr., will be held on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Davenport will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
