he Griffin Police Department (GPD) was dispatched to a residence on Spellman Avenue early Wednesday morning in reference to an assault.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they witnessed 21-year-old Lakeisha Alexander yelling and breaking items inside the residence. According to a GPD incident report, Alexander was highly intoxicated.

Police then made contact with Alexander’s father, who stated that he had gotten into a physical altercation with the father of his other daughter’s son — a 26-year-old black male — who refused to leave after being asked to leave.

Witnesses stated that a third person at the scene — referred to in the report only as “G-Money” — broke up the fight, and the 26-year-old male eventually apologized for disrespecting the father of his son’s mother.
