The Griffin Police Department (GPD) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has concluded an investigation on drug-related activity at 319 E. College St. that resulted in a total of six arrests.

The investigation began a little over six months ago, and, according to GPD Cpl. Tishe Dyer, was initiated through multiple phone calls and interviews with concerned citizens in the area.

“Our contacts were extremely helpful and kept in constant contact with us about the activities at the residence,” Dyer said. That type of cooperation within the community is necessary for good cases such as this one, she said.
