On Sunday, at about 11:37 p.m., a Griffin Police officer reportedly observed a black Dodge truck crossing over the center line while traveling west on Experiment Street and conducted a traffic stop at Experiment Street and Lyndon Drive.
The officer made contact with the driver, who offered to let the officer search the truck after being asked if there was anything illegal in it. A pat-down of the subject reportedly turned up two small chunks in the driver’s left front coat pocket, which the subject reportedly told police was a cigarette.
The officer pulled from the pocket a single cigarette along with two clear bags of suspected powder cocaine. When asked what the powder was, the driver reportedly told police that it was “Miami Ice,” which he said was used to cut cocaine and that he was selling it.
