The Griffin Police Department (GPD) was dispatched to a location of Wright Street Friday afternoon in reference to a burglary complaint.

When officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with the two victims — a 40-year-old male and a 25-year-old female. The female victim stated that she was storing her belongings in the male victim’s rental property on Wright Street because it was unoccupied.

The female victim further stated that someone had broken into that residence and stolen a number of furniture items — among them a bed, a mattress and the mirror to her chest of drawers.
