STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. — The Skipstone Academy Warriors football team ended its 2010 season on a sour note, losing 56-8 to Community Christian Friday night in eight-man football action on the road.

Despite the rough loss for Skipstone (3-6), the Warriors set a school-record for wins this year and head coach Nick Elliott said he was proud of the team’s effort Friday night.

“We played with heart and energy against a good Community squad,” Elliott said. “They only scored once in the second half.”

Robert Pearson scored Skipstone’s TD on a 35-yard pass from Warriors quarterback Stephen Eure.

Eure played some of the contest at cornerback, where he tipped a pass that was intercepted by his teammate B.J. Sheppard.
