Congress not doing the job

To the editor: Those geniuses in Washington are patting each other on their backs and crowing about how they have saved the nation’s economy and will create millions of jobs by extending the Bush tax cuts for two more years.

Where have those imbeciles been for the past eight years while the same tax cuts were in place and millions of jobs were lost, the most since the Great Depression?

This is a perfect example of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The recession will end when people begin to spend again and anyone who has ever run a business knows that tax cuts do not create jobs. Employers hire when the demand for their products or services exceeds the capacity of the existing staff to produce them.

I don’t know who is more stupid, the Congress or the voters who keep putting them in office.
