— To the person who said that My Two Cents readers wouldn’t know where Europe is: If you’re so smart, why are you reading My Two Cents, you moron?
— Jimmy Carter never met a dictator he didn’t like.
— If you are looking forward to seeing the opening of the new Griffin-Spalding airport, you better hope you are still alive in the year 2100.
— The National Football League (NFL) is talking a lot about player safety. The quickest, easiest and cheapest way to cut back on injuries would be to stop performance-enhancing drug use. What is happening in this country?
— The county school system has a policy called “Positive Punishment” for the students. Shouldn’t it be “punishment to get positive results”?
— Sarah Palin is an intelligent woman with an engaging personality. And she dresses conservatively, yet stylishly. Many of our local women could take a lesson from her.
— Kudos to GDN writer Sheila Marshall on the story about Grogan Service station closing. I am one of the little old ladies who has gone there for years, and will be lost without B.E. It will be a nice gesture for everyone to go by and wish him well.
— I don’t know about anybody else, but I get tired of reading about all these “lovely and delightful” parties that went on in 1911 in your News of Yesteryear. Who wants to read about what these uppity people were doing 100 years ago?
