At the conclusion of a Tuesday morning preliminary hearing before Spalding County Chief Magistrate Judge Rita Cavanaugh, Melvin Jewel Folds was bound over to stand trial in Spalding County Superior Court on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Sgt. John Corley, of the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit (SOU), the case agent in the arrest, testified that information received from an officer of the Dublin Police Department following a traffic stop in that jurisdiction led to Folds’ arrest.
