Central Georgia Electric Membership Corp. at 10 a.m. Thursday reported power outages affecting 2,302 meters in 11 counties. Central Georgia EMC has ongoing restoration efforts to restore electric service to these areas affected by the severe weather, according to a press release issued by the EMC.

Central Georgia EMC asks that if you see a downed power line, stay away, and call Central Georgia EMC at 770-775-7857 or 1-800-222-4877. Be cautious during severe weather, as limbs and trees can tear down electric lines. Any dangling line or lines on the ground can be deadly. Up-to-the-minute outage information is on Central Georgia EMC's Web site, www.cgemc.com, by clicking on the Outage Viewer, under the Quick Links Section.
