To the editor: Maybe a few of us would like to hear three primary policies from a candidate of any party, which work together:

1. We will reduce drastically Middle East oil by all legal means in a stated time cycle.

2. We will not interfere with internal affairs of other nations with our own military personnel, arms or financial support in those areas.

3. We will develop all petroleum resources in domestic areas with all means possible using federal, state and local support and that of only domestic petroleum companies.

That’s a starting point. How should now be simple.

Reduce our dependence on foreign oil? How about reduce our dependence on Spalding County oil. The local oil distributors gouge this county an extra 20 to 30 cents a gallon. Why? Because they can. Buy your fuel in adjacent counties if at all possible.
