Investigators with the Pike County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday arrested four suspects in connection with several recent burglaries reported in the county, according to a press release from the PCSO.

A vehicle matching the description of a vehicle seen in the area of an earlier reported burglary was located on U.S. Highway 41. The vehicle was stopped, and the suspects in the car were determined to have just committed three burglaries in three different counties.

Inside the vehicle, a safe, a gun, jewelry and computer items were found. The items had been stolen from residences in Lamar, Upson and Pike counties.

Hannah Scott, 19, from Williamson, was arrested on two counts of burglary and one count of criminal attempt-burglary. Jalen Britt, 18, Henry Barrett, 19, and Thomas Butler, 20, all from Griffin, were also arrested and charged with one count of burglary and one count of criminal attempt-burglary.

Lamar and Upson counties will also have burglary charges against the four suspects, the release said. The investigation into the group’s activities is continuing, and it is possible that additional charges will be filed.

The suspects were being held in the Pike County Jail, awaiting a first-appearance hearing.
