• Griffin High School winners at the Rock Eagle 4-H Competition were Kori Johnson (sports), Rusty Hulon (horsemanship), Morganne Mann (vocal performing arts), and Jaimi Mansfield (horsemanship).
• The Spalding boys soccer team beat Eagle’s Landing 2-0 to stay unbeaten. Tyler Rawlings and Denny Jones scored goals for Spalding.
• Bart Searcy was named the new General Griffin.
