That is up from 11.7 percent in January, but down from 13 percent in February 2011. Spalding County’s labor force grew, and the number of employed grew from the previous month, but so did the number of unemployed.
There were 3,431 unemployed people in Spalding County for February, up 38 from 3,393 in January but down 318 from 3,749 in February 2011. Spalding County’s labor force grew to 29,190 in February, up 165 from January, The number of employed also grew to 25,759, up 127 from January.
