GPD makes arrest in family violence, responds to assault

The Griffin Police Department (GPD) on Thursday night was dispatched to a residence on D.F. Fuller Drive in reference to a possible family violence in progress.

At the scene, police officers made contact with 33-year old Melissa Reid, who told them that everything was fine. Reid was directed out of the residence for questioning while officers entered the house and made contact with the 54-year-old male victim in the bathroom.
