COVINGTON — Tye Waller and Jake Harpe each shot season-low 34s Wednesday as Spalding High’s golf team closed out the regular season with a 143-152 victory at Indian Creek Golf Club against Eastside-Covington.
Carson Willis (37) and Parker Plageman (38) rounded out Spalding’s leading scorers as the Jaguars (9-2) swept the Eagles by a combined margin of 11 strokes.
Two-time region champion Spalding now defends its title on Monday at Heron Bay in the Region 4-AAA championship where the two two teams and the low medalist advance to state May 7 at Augusta Country Club.
