Police officers of the Griffin Police Department (GPD) were dispatched to Spalding Regional Medical Center early Saturday morning in reference to a victim suffering from a stab wound.

When officers arrived at the hospital, the victim — a 26-year-old black female — told them that she was injured during a robbery. About 45 minutes later, officers arrived at the victim’s residence on North 13th Street to investigate the incident.

As they approached the location, they observed a large amount of blood on the front porch and blood splatter in the area. They then made contact with the victim’s girlfriend, 24-year-old Brittany Morris, and asked her to show them where the kitchen was located.
