— As a resident of Sun City Peachtree, I deplore the action taken against Griffin High School students here on April 7. One resident was annoyed by the presence of these young people taking prom pictures in front of the waterfall at our entrance. So he called the sheriff, who came and told the students to leave immediately or be taken to jail and have their vehicles impounded. There are several of us here who believe that was wrong.

— Julie, what do you mean by calling our president mein Obama? Just because everyone doesn’t vote the way you do doesn’t mean they are what you are saying, and if they had to put their name on the little comments they would not write them, like I am doing. Just remember, somebody sees them.

— I will donate $20 for each senior citizen I don’t see in a grocery store during my lunch break.

— Did Kroger really need the bond issue to entice them to build the new store? Looks like they were committed before this was even discussed. We need new companies. Kroger was already here. It looks like the return on the bonds is only 2.5 percent. That’s a steal for Kroger. Wouldn’t they be paying this in the property taxs if no bonds had been issued?

— I would give $20 to not see these women around Griffin wear a bikini.

— Pharmacy workers have to be so “staple happy,” as you put it, so that jerks (like you) don’t lose important medical information or your prescription. If you don’t like it, go green and make your own medicine. Your pharmacist as well as his or her employees and co-workers have feelings too, you know.

— LaGrange got Kia, Athens gets Caterpillar and Monroe gets a major biotech firm. None of these decisions involved a new airport. Just saying.

— This country has grown to what it is today because of opportunities for people and their willingness to work. In three-plus years this president has nothing to show for meaningful job growth but has managed to expand entitlement programs. If he cannot understand the importance to this country of putting people back to work, I am wondering if he is indeed a U.S. citizen.

To the person who is so obsessed with anyone who is a senior citizen:

We have several excellent psychiatrists in Griffin who can help you with this issue. After all, if you live long enough, you will be a senior citizen. Someone forgot to teach you the all important character trait of respect. You must be a very high maintenance person with a strong sense of entitlement who has not learned to consider the rights of others.Who cares when your lunch hour is?

To: "Anonymous Poster" who addressed me today:

Honesty and integrity still go a long way.

And I am very aware that "somebody" sees my posts. A lot of "somebodies." In reality--if I truly want to know who YOU are I can find out. This "My Two Cents" forum is covered by the rule of law--just so you know.

So, I am certain you aren't threatening me or my family in any way--right?
