Three Griffin High football standouts — Jaylin Piercy, Eddrick "Nukie Man" Johnson and Marcus Stringer — signed National Letters of Intent in a brief signing ceremony Thursday night at GHS to play football this fall at NCAA Division II Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Ga. The three seniors helped the Bears (9-3) reach the second round of the state playoffs this season for a school-record fourth year in a row while the team increased its school-record string of consecutive state playoff appearances to 11 seasons.
