At more than 13 months after the tornado, and two months after it was instituted, only 2 percent of the county’s 65,0000 residents have signed up for emergency notifications.
“Only 1,368 have signed up,” said County Manager William Wilson. “That’s terrible.”
Commissioner Chipper Gardner said, “it’s been a year, remember how many wanted an alert system?”
