— It appears the new airport is a done deal, especially if T-SPLOST passes. Local leaders feel they have the power to ram it through on the taxpayers. It sort of reminds me of our federal government and Obamacare.

— The Republican Party has not always been the dominant party in Spalding County. A lot of us took a lot of grief over the years as Republicans. It’s a shame all the hard work that made our party important, is now controlled by an elite group of people with their own personal agendas. Tell me who loses on Election Day and is rewarded with party leadership.

— Sounds like the person writing in My 2 Cents about a European Championship soccer player looking a little perverted holding the hand of a young boy should be ashamed. You probably are a pervert.

— Whenever I see a woman riding a motorcycle, I always think that it does not look very ladylike.

— In the June 24 Ronda Rich column, she referred to the “first chapter of Solomon” in the Bible. There is no book of Solomon in the Bible — it’s the book of Song of Solomon.

— If you think the president had anything to do with the price of gas coming down a little bit, then you have had your head in the sand for too long. If he could do this now, why not three years ago? It’s the oil companies buying barrels for $80 instead of $110. He and the Democrats are still in a mindset of blaming someone else for all the miseries of America.
