The Griffin Police Department (GPD) responded to a call in reference to an armed robbery on Anne Street Sunday night.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with the victim — a 30-year-old black male — who said he was walking south on Anne Street when two black males approached him.

According to a GPD incident report, the victim further said that the two suspects were wearing black T-shirts over their faces and had a chrome handgun when they demanded money from him.

While one suspect reportedly held the victim at gunpoint, the other suspect reached into the victim’s pockets and took a wallet containing $152 in cash, a debit card, an ID card, a house key chain and a pack of cigarettes.
