Adam Grubbs, a performer from Griffin, will present a benefit concert “No Fame, No Shame” for the Main Street Players Aug. 24-25 at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $20 with the proceeds going directly to the Main Street Players, now celebrating their 10th anniversary season.

“Act 1 is all musical theater. I’m singing songs from “South Pacific,” “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Anything Goes” and many more. I’m pretty much doing the classics from the 20th century. Alison Kirkland is singing a few duets with me, and Becky Mozo-Adams is playing the piano,” Grubbs said. “Act 2 is way more relaxed. It’s music from the Carpenters, the Beatles, and Carole King — but no need to worry if you don’t love that music because I’ve spiced it up with a few modern numbers.”

Griffin audiences will remember Adam Grubbs from his many appearances with the Main Street Players, Camelot Theatre and the Griffin Choral Arts.

The Main Street Players, 115 North Hill Street, Griffin, brings “No Fame, No Shame” to the stage for just two performances.

Reserved Seat Tickets are $20. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10 percent discount.

Please make checks payable to the Main Street Players and mail to Box 1945, Griffin, GA, 30224.
