The Griffin Police Department (GPD) responded to the BP gas station on West Taylor Street Saturday in reference to a fight.

When officers arrived at the scene, they made contact with a 25-year-old male who stated that he went to the gas station to get money from a money gram. He further stated that the clerk — a 48-year-old female — became rude and would not give him his money.

According to a GPD incident report, the male told police that he became irate and started to yell back at the female. When he was about to walk out of the gas station, the female threw a stapler at him and hit him in the back of his head, causing a laceration.
