The Griffin Police Department (GPD) responded to a fight Friday inside Ma & Pa Grocery on Meriwether Street.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with the two victims — a 40-year-old male and a 55-year-old male, both from Griffin. According to a GPD incident report, the stories of both victims were identical in that they stated they were being attacked by four black males — all of whom had left the scene before police arrived — inside the store.

The four suspects, one being known as “Whinny,” reportedly asked the 40-year-old victim where “that gun” was, and when the victim responded he didn’t know what they were talking about, he was attacked by all four of them.
