After 18 months back on the job, Spalding County Manager William Wilson Jr., is scheduled for a job evaluation.

As part of his contract, Wilson has to be notified by the end of September if his contract will not be renewed. The Spalding County Board of Commissioners have scheduled a closed meeting beginning at 1 p.m., next Friday for presentations of the evaluation.

The meeting, as part of the commissioners retreat, will be in executive or closed session as it is a personnel matter, but any vote taken would have to be done in open session. The meeting will be held at Big Shanty following the retreat and while other county department heads are on a bus tour of county facilities as part of their retreat.
