Spalding County approved alcohol sales training and three licenses last week.

The Board of Commissioners approved the curriculum for the mandatory Responsible Alcohols Sales and Service training the county now requires for all alcohol license holders and/or owners. The required session will be taught by Michele Stumpe, who has conducted RASS sessions previously in the county and elsewhere in metro Atlanta where similar courses are required.

The standardized training also includes a review of local laws, training requirements and hours of sale. The purpose of the training is to assist licensees in developing and implementing alcohol and tobacco compliance programs to prevent and reduce alcohol and tobacco sales law violations.
