A 54-year-old Griffin man was arrested Friday after reportedly pulling a knife on another male. Prior to his arrest, he was tased by officers with the Griffin Police Department (GPD) for ignoring their orders to get to the ground and instead trying to leave the scene.

According to a GPD incident report, police first responded to a dispute that day at a location on Anne Street. As police officers arrived at the scene, the homeowner advised them that Tony Moreland had a knife and was trying to hurt a 33-year-old male. The homeowner further stated that Moreland was about to leave, pointing to a silver Dodge Charger.
