— I’m not saying that my preacher’s sermons are boring, but sleep disorder centers in the area have been sending patients to our church to see if they can be cured.

— I wonder who sends in the My Two Cents comments. My guess is that they are ex-convicts and mental health patients.

— The city needs to commission someone to sculpt a Honey Boo Boo statue and put it next to the General Griffin statue.

— In Tuesday’s debate, Obama did nothing but lie, lie and lie.

— To the Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, contributor who wants Sarah Palin cloned so every woman can look like her: Thanks, but no thank you. I thank God I am a beautiful woman and I do not want to look like Sarah Palin.

— I agree with Rep. Paul Broun that the earth is only about 9,000 years old. Evolution is an atheist/agnostic viewpoint falsely manufactured to discredit the true story of God’s creation. Dinosaurs existed during biblical and medieval times, only then they were called dragons. Dinosaurs didn’t disappear millions of years ago. Read the book or see the DVD “Dragons or Dinosaurs” or go to the “Creation Museum” in northern Kentucky.

— Georgia is the best football team of all time. Go Dawgs!

— I get tired of seeing these pagan decorations in people’s yards. I wish the city and county would pass a law to keep people from putting Halloween decorations in their yards.

— In reference to the government-controlled medical care that is proposed in Obamacare, I already have government-controlled medical care. I am a military veteran that uses the V.A. for my medical care. I am also on a fixed income with Social Security, which entitles me to Medicare. How is one on a fixed income who does not qualify for Medicaid, pay from $250 a month or more for a supplemental plan?

— Commissioners approved $30,000 to get help with the property tax appeals, the wasteful spending occurs once again. Just roll everybody’s assessment back to what it was 17 years ago because that is where values are at now. And why would you raise some and lower others? It makes absolutely no sense the way the evaluations were done and at a cost to us taxpayers of $800,000.

— I will not be voting for the charter school amendment. With such a high-quality school system here in Spalding County, there is no need for charter schools.

— A new comedy event with Bruce Springsteen campaigning for Barack Obama. The punch line would be Bruce singing “Born in the USA.”

— I am 31 years old and have never been out of Spalding County. Did I miss anything?

— I would like to thank Commissioner Gilreath for four years of first-class comedy on the county board. All the best to you, sir. You will be missed.

To the person who wants to ban Halloween decorations........you must be one of those "pretend" Christians who jumps at every chance to judge and condemn anyone who doesn't think like you or share your religious and political beliefs. Personally, I'm thankful to live in a FREE country to celebrate any holiday any way I wish as long as I'm not harming anyone. Move to Iran if you want religious rule.

In response to the person who believes in dragons, a quick question for clarification. What other books have you read that challenge Darek Isaacs's theory? Surely you wouldn't fully agree with someone's questionable notions without examining the other side, namely real scientists. Also, if it's a museum you want, give The Smithsonian a whirl, check out their Hall of Human Origins. This is the kind of museum based on incontrovertible scientific facts, not outdated, convoluted ideas based on one book with uncertain origins that is rife with contradictions and anomalies. Whatever "scientists" contributed to Isaacs's book or the museum in Kentucky should be carefully scrutinized, as should Paul Broun.

I see a lot people posting things about what they don't like and the laws they want passed. This county is full of idiots like you who think everyone must abide by your likes and dislikes. We need laws to govern morons like you but that wouldn't be right either. How about reading the Constitution or do you not like educated sheople either? Yes I wrote SHEOPLE! You act like sheep if you don't or can't comprehend the Constitution.
