Saturday marked the opening day of firearms deer season across the state.

With this in mind, the Griffin Daily News would like to share your photos of successful hunts with our readers.

If you would like to show off your photos, email them to sports editor John Sullivan (jsullivan@griffindailynews.com) with the words, “DEER HUNT” in the subject line.

Be sure to put your name and any other pertinent information in the body of the text — date, county harvested in, how big, what did it dress out as, number of tines, size or rack, score, firearm or weapon used, distance of shot and weather conditions (if pertinent). Also list how many deer you have harvested — (for example) is it is your 1st deer, 7th, 15th or 102nd and hunter’s age if they are first-time hunters.

For those photos involving children: By submitting photos for publication online, you are agreeing that you are the parent, legal guardian, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to submit the photo for publication.

The Griffin Daily News thanks you for your cooperation and wishes everyone a great season.
