Southern Crescent Tigers guard Rodney Gilbert (21) plays defense against Chattahoochee Tech guard Shawn Tate (1) during the Tigers’ home opener Nov. 14 at Taylor Street Gym in Griffin. Gilbert, a former Spalding High basketball standout, finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds in the contest.
The Tigers lost to Chattahoochee Tech 81-48 that night, their fourth straight loss to open the 2012-13 season. The Tigers didn’t shoot the ball well at all, shooting at a 29 percent clip while Chattahoochee shot 49.3 percent from the field. The Tigers were in action Monday night at home.
