Mrs. Betty Jo Little

Died Feb. 18, 2013

Hampton resident



Mrs. Betty Jo Little, 81, of Hampton, Ga., passed away Feb. 18, 2013.

She was born in Hampton, Ga., to the late Arnold Eugene and Ruby Lee Brown Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, James David “Jimmy” Little; stepmother, Mary Kate Barnes Floyd; brothers, Cecil and Jack Floyd; and infant great-granddaughters. She graduated from Jonesboro High School and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church for 63 years. She was the church custodian for many years, enjoyed eating out and working word search books. The most important thing in her life was her family.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie Lynn Little of Hampton, Donna (John) Bartlett of Stockbridge, Sheryl Deeter of McDonough, Keith (Felicia) Little of Dothan, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred (Johnnie) Renfroe of Milner, Claudene Ballard of Hampton, Dorothy (Howard) Blessitt of Forsyth; brother, Gerald K. (Ann) Floyd of Milner; and sister-in-law, Martha Floyd of Pendergrass.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, from the Liberty Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Patterson and the Rev. Chuck Conkle will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends visited the family Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Ann Mitchell Pollette

Mrs. Ann Mitchell Pollette, 63, of Griffin, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Mrs. Pollette was born on Oct. 24, 1949, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Benjamin Curtis Mitchell and the late Effie Mae Watts Mitchell. She attended Griffin Technical College and worked for many years as a supervisor with NEC of McDonough, Ga. Mrs. Pollette loved to travel and especially loved Savannah, Ga., and Biloxi, Miss.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry G. Pollette Sr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cindy Pollette Jr. of Hampton, Keith Pollette of Pike County; grandchildren, Ashley, Blake, Katelyn, and Brian Pollette; brother, Terry Mitchell of Fairburn; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Whitmire, Jean Mc Curry, Linda Dodd, Shelia Mitchell and Brenda Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Pollette will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Minister Donald Banks will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
