Mrs. Bessie McKinley Williams

Mrs. Bessie McKinley Williams, 94 of Zebulon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at her residence.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Zebulon, the youngest child of Carlbert Richard McKinley and Fairie Denie Smith McKinley. She married Harold Evan Williams in 1955 and they resided in Atlanta for many years before moving to Forest Park. They moved to Zebulon in 2002. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved sister, Evelyn and her brothers, H.J., Sim, Frank, C.R. and Troy; and her niece, Donna Kiblinger.

Survivors include her beloved and devoted husband of 57 years, Harold Evan Williams, several nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie McKinley Williams will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Laney will officiate. Interment will follow in Timberridge Cemetery in McDonough. Friends may visit the family on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Church of Joy, 3080 Hwy. 362, Williamson, GA 30292 in memory of Mrs. Williams.

Rev. James E. Ferrell

Dec. 10, 1942—Feb. 26, 2013

Griffin resident

The Rev. James E. Ferrell, 70, of Griffin, passed away on Feb. 26, 2013.

He was born Dec. 10, 1942 in Foley, Fla., the son of Henry and Juanita Ferrell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sharon Ferrell. James was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for over 40 years. He pastored churches in Lake Wales and Gainesville and served as an associate pastor with Carpenter’s Home Church in Lakeland, Fla. His passion was providing Christian counseling to his church and community and also teaching Bible at Evangel Christian School.

James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Denee Ferrell; three grandchildren, Devin, Kiera and Grady Ferrell; and his sister, Nellie Hinton of Marianna, Fla.

His family would like to acknowledge the staff of Brightmoor Assisted Living for providing excellent care and treating him as family.

A graveside service will be held on March 2 at 2 p.m. at Forest Meadows Memorial Park West in Newberry, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to Brightmoor Assisted Living, 3223 Newnan Road, Griffin, GA 30223.

Mrs. Robin Michelle Buchanan, age 58 of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 11, 1954. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eble Huie Walls and Joanne Jones Heinrich; brothers, Vernon Walls and Larry Walls. Mrs. Buchanan was previously employed with Economy Rental Car.

Survivors include husband of 25 years, Phillip D. Buchanan; step-son, Mathew D. Buchanan; sisters, Diane Coleman, Kathy Ratliff, Portia Walls, Annie Bowen; brothers, Arthur Walls, Eric Walls, Gary Walls, Brad Walls, Reuben Walls, Roland Heinrich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny D. and Nancy Buchanan, John H. and JoAnn Miller; numerous other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Mrs. Robin Michelle Buchanan will be conducted on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family after the service.

Stanley Ray Fierbaugh, 73, of Griffin, passed away on Feb., 2013. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fierbaugh of Griffin; sons, Tim (Kristin) Fierbaugh of Fayetteville, Chris (Donna) Fierbaugh of St. Augustine, Fla.; grandchildren, Aaron Fierbaugh of Fayetteville, Jarod Fierbaugh of Fayetteville, Paige Fierbaugh, Andrew Fierbaugh and Hannah Kate Fierbaugh, all of St. Augustine, Fla.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Heritage Christian Church, 2130 Redwine Road, Fayetteville, GA, 30215. The family will receive friends following the service.
