COLLEGE PARK — Parker Powell, Jonah Riceman and Jackson Mosley combined on a one-hitter shutout Friday as Spalding High won its first road game of the season 8-0 in six innings on the run rule at North Clayton to remain undefeated overall as well as in Region 4-AAAA action.

“We had a good day pitching,” Jaguars head coach Mickey Moody said.

Powell, who fanned eight, started and picked up the win. Riceman and Mosely fanned four more in mop-up duty on a day where the trio of Spalding pitchers combined to only walk one and the staff posted its first shutout of the season.

“Krepps threw 70-plus percent of his pitches for strikes,” said Moody, who added Riceman and Mosely were also at 70 percent.

Powell Krepps hit a double down the line to spearhead an eight-hit outing during a season where the Jaguars (4-0, 2-0 region) have outscored their opposition by a combined margin of 41-12.
