The Griffin High School Touchdown Club provided a check for $6,000 to GHS athletic director Kennedy Holt at the school Monday afternoon. The check is a donation to help purchase new uniforms for the Griffin High football team.

"We need new home white uniforms for sure, to be in compliance with GHSA standards," said Holt. "The last time we purchased new uniforms was more than 10 years ago."

Holt said it would take close to $30,000 to purchase new home and road uniforms for the Bears and the Touchdown Club's donation is a very good start.

"We want the team to look good so we decided to donate what we could, especially for new home white uniforms," said Touchdown Club member Tangela Williams, the mother of Bears defensive back Keyston Fuller.
